Detailed description of Plantation Golf Club

Plantation Golf Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Boise, Idaho.

Plantation initially opened as a six-hole course on July 18, 1917. Then known as the Boise Country Club, it opened five years after the state’s oldest golf course, the Hayden Lake Country Club in North Idaho. It was later expanded to 18 holes. The Plantation course was designed by H. Chandler Egan, who won a team gold medal and a silver individual medal at the 1904 Olympics in St. Louis and was a member of the Pacific Northwest Golf Hall of Fame. Egan designed a number of courses in Oregon and Washington.

Plantation Country Club's traditional golf course features wide fairways lined with 80-year-old cottonwood and spruce trees. The Boise River runs alongside the course providing a beautiful setting.

Boasting some of the most demanding par 3's in Treasure Valley, the 6,376-yard, par 71 layout challenges golfers of all skill levels.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,376 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,310 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 546 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, a 538-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 180 yard par-3.
